5 Star Condition Rating is owned by Independent Property Inspections

Article (1) - 5 Star Condition Rating - Independent Property Inspections (IPI) is the only building inspection company that can offer the 5 Star Condition Rating with every pre purchase building inspection. This is an Australian First, possibly a world first. Independent Property Inspections commitment to quality inspections and reporting systems. The new 5 Star Condition Rating system has been 12 months in development and testing and will be available to all from June 2009

The 5 Star Condition Rating is mathamatically calculated taking into account the number of items inspected, the number of possible defects and the number of actual defects found also taking the age of the property and fair wear and tear into consideration.

The 5 Star Condition Rating gives a very visual confirmation of the true condition of the property.

In one example on a 15 year old brick veneer home, 5 bedroom, 2 living areas, 3 bathrooms, office and garage.

We found 17 minor defects and one major defect (rotting timber retaining wall sleepers) but still rated 95%

Advantages include

• Provides an immediate visual confirmation of the true condition of the property highlighting exactly how GOOD it really is
• Mathamatically comfirms the condition of the property using the Australian Standard AS4349.1-2009 as the basis for the report. So it's not a guess.
