Independent Property Inspections (IPI) was born out of a need for truly independent, reliable and consistent high quality property reports. The founder Leon Cupit a builder of over 30 years in the industry undertook a study of the property inspection industry in 2001 while searching for opportunities within the building profession. This study revealed a severe lack of professionalism, dramatically varying reporting standards and pricing, little understanding of service and a very poor result for the end user. All this increased the frustration of the stakeholders and a justified loss of trust in the service providers.
